Friday!, TNT, and TV-3 channels, which are all part of GPM ETV subholding, recently took home 8 TEFI 2018 Industrial Television Awards. The overall tally was: Friday! with four awards, TNT with three awards, and TV-3 with one.
TV industry professionals called the TV-3 and Sreda Production Company co-production of “Gogol. The Beginning” the main television event of the season. "Gogol" is the first series to be widely released in cinemas, earning it the status of most intriguing film franchise. “Gogol. The Beginning” is the first part of a trilogy with the final part being “Gogol. Terrible vengeance," which was released in cinemas in August of this year. In total, all three films earned over 1.3 billion rubles from cinema ticket sales. The movies, based on the works and biography of Nikolai Gogol, have also been released in cinemas overseas, such as Germany, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Cyprus, and the UAE. In 2019, TV-3 plans to broadcast a "Gogol" series, which will consist of eight episodes, two of which will be completely new ones.
Friday! TV Channel won three TEFI awards in the Live Daytime TV category: The “Eagle and Tails” travel show received an Orpheus award in the Lifestyle entertainment program category. TNT received two awards in the Live Daytime TV category. The lead presenter of the show "The Big Breakfast," Marina Kravets, won the award for Best Lead Presenter of a Morning Program. The show, which premiered on TNT in February of this year, represents the line-up of Saturday Morning Prime shows. Marina Kravets, accompanied by Chef Artyom Losev, invite well-known personalities from Russian television, cinema and show business to a café to prepare dishes with them and then serve the dishes to guests live on air.
